“A woman’s place is in the dome.”

Ann Richards, former Governor of the state of Texas, passed away this evening after a battle with esophageal cancer.
I’d like to think that, in a parallel universe, this Texas Governor-elected-US-President would have brought us half as much war and radicalism and twice as much warmth and repartee.
A true Texas Character, she’ll be missed.

I live in Chicago, but have held a place in my heart for this lady every since my days in Amarillo (to think I got my start in this business while living there…proof wonders never cease).
We could use a President with that lady’s common sense and biting wit.
