I’m from Texas, specifically, from ranching stock, and as such have a pretty well-defined idea of what is “in bounds” and “out of bounds.”

Strump was clearly out of bounds.

And, being from Texas ranching stock, I tend to have hair-trigger sensitivity to such things, especially in regards to spouses.

I do a lot of business in Chicago; I’m in the city enough to be considered a transplanted local.

Taking potshots at me is fine.

Take potshots at one of mine, however, and you’ve elevated the discourse to a place you don’t want to be.

Trust me.
