Monkey Tripping Through a Short Week
Had a nice, relaxing holiday weekend, filled with movies, rest and reading, and I hope the same can be said for you.
Made a quick-turn trip to Chicago today; in and out in twelve hours, including flying time.
Short trips are hard on the body, but sleeping in your own bed at the end of a long day is worth it.
The trip was taken to meet with one of my clients (guess which) and turned out to be highly, highly productive.
My optimistic view, held without the benefit of an advertising staple– the contact report– will hopefully be borne out over the next several months as we enter into a new phase of creative development.
That’s the way advertising works: earthquake-like. Long, slow, shifting-stress periods are punctuated by meetings that go POP!, which hopefully change the landscape somewhat. (For the better, one always hopes.)
We’ll see.
For the next few hours, though, the only things I’ll be seeing are the backs of my eyelids.
