Attack of the She Monkeys
We’re back home and trying to catch up on a backlog of work.
I spent the day in the studio watching over the production of a video for presentation at a Gatorade summit later this week in Chicago.
And, in other, non-ad-jungle-related news, the She Monkey had a sonogram today. Essentially, I was hoping for ten fingers and ten toes… and at least one super power (invisibility would be nice).
We also learned that, in addition to everything being “normal” (as normal as things can be, given the Papa Monkey is a creative guy who, um, had an interesting college experience), we learned there will be an additional Wee She Monkey added to the household.
Not needing much encouragement to have a party on any given day, this day, of course, called for one. We had friends over and annnounced the Wee She development.
A good time was had by all (in the sweltering Texas heat).
Tomorrow? I finish up the video and begin purchasing guns and shells for the eventual day when male suitors come a’calling.
The way I figure it, I only have to shoot the first one; the rest will catch on quickly thereafter.

Oh, and did I mention her prom this past weekend. Shotguns are definitely a plus in this situation.
;-p

Thanks, brother! It will be interesting to see how the whole Monkey family dynamic changes once the She Monkeys realize they can out-vote me.

Yeah but you have the two males vs. two females thing. Although the dog can be a key swing vote.

I don’t know what you mean, Bill; it’s just me and the She Monkey. The Wee She Monkey will put the odds at 2:1 in their favor. Of course, working in advertising and being who I am, I do have a few extra personalities I could use to cast votes.

My bad, I read the situation as being twins when you said ‘additional.’ Yeah. That’s different.
You’re fucked.
;-p

Yeah, that’s pretty much the conclusion the She Monkey reached on my behalf.
