Not (quite) Missing in Action Wrightoff? Right on!

Wal-Muck?

There’s nothing to see here, folks.

The story, floating around on quite a few ad blogs, that Wal-Mart sent out a fake protest squad in order to pass out pro-Wal-Mart tracts, was a case of mistaken identity. (The protest, it seems, was timed to push through a full page ad in the New York Times.)

Wal-Mart (or at least their P.R. agency the people employed by their P.R. agency to spread the word) has involved themselves in “grey” P.R. in the past; this wasn’t one of those times.

Can we just get back to bashing awards shows CP+B our own industry now?
