10 New Tracks, Redux

It’s Friday and that means it’s tequila time and that, in turn, means it’s “The Monkey Listens to Music” time.

I’ve added ten new tracks to Music for Monkeys, which now includes cuts from Ibrahim Ferrer & Ry Cooder, Boozoo Bajou, King Chango, Jack Johnson, The Buzzcocks, Akwid, Dwight Yoakam & Buck Owens, Les Hommes, Cross Canadian Ragweed and The Kinks.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to turn on, tune in and drop out.

Two Dieste CLIO Shortlist Spots

CLIO shortlisted spots were announced today and Jaime’s “Mini Mouth” and “Pinky” both made the cut. We’re keeping our monkey fingers crossed.

EDIT: I’d mentioned Mini Mouth when it won gold at FIAP, and now I have an excuse to put the two spots together in one post, so here they are:

White Gets Dark

Bill the Cat, over at “Make The Logo Bigger,” placed a link to some Orson Welles outtakes in the comments of a post here.

The outtakes (funny) reminded me of a radio session outtakes clip I posted on the original version of Adverb (pre-crash days).

Fortunately, while I lost all of my wonderful prose in the crash, I still have the files.

In this one, the late, great Barry White (who’s recording a spot for a local (Dallas) college), rakes a poor copywriter over the coals.

I feel your pain, kid.

“Paul Quinn College cordially invites yo ass to come on down.” Priceless.
