Robot Love
Ernie Schenck found a link to a “communications specialty” company, Anomaly, that appears to be leading the charge in getting PayPal’s new “text to buy” feature out there.
The offering is for tiny, wind-up robots, and appears to simply be a proof-of-concept exercise.
Here’s a link to Anomaly’s press release. The odd thing is the press release states the announcement for PayPal’s new text to pay feature was made on April 6, but I reported it here on Adverb on March 24 (thanks to the Motley Fool).
I thought then– and continue to believe– the text to buy application is hella-smart (I’ve already activated a phone for its use). I just won’t be using it to purchase robots any time soon.
